Summer School

LERMIT will organize each year an interdisciplinary Summer School in the field of "Drug Discovery". Senior speakers, recognized as experts in the selected topics, will give lectures and seminars.

This Summer School, which takes place in a beautiful Manor surrounded by a forest, lasts 3 days and is open to Master/PhD students and young researchers from public or private sectors.

Thanks to a very dense and resolutely interdisciplinar program, participants attend about 20 lectures, given by senior researchers, clinicians and experts from pharmaceutical companies (both SME and Big Pharma). Our purpose is to highlight the different steps leading to the commercialisation of a new drug, from the identification of a biological target, to the marketing plan. The topics are multiple: pharmaceutical R&D organisation, medicinal chemistry, innovation, toxicology, molecular modelisation, anticancer radiotherapy, marketing, biotherapies, regulation...
Students and post-docs have a unique opportunity to exchange with the speakers during lunches and dinners. They can learn from their vision and experiences and confront their own knowledge and projects with the reality of the pharmaceutical sector.

The 4th edition of the therapeutic innovation summer school will take place from 5th to 7th of july in Rochefort en Yvelines.
